Our current and new billing system is already keeping track of ALL TeamSpeak servers being hosted worldwide. All TeamSpeak licensing will be billed in arrears. This means that you will be billed and invoiced on the first day of each month for all hosting that occurred during the previous month. Payments are due on the 15th of every month. Since billing is based on slot count, you will be billed for the AVERAGE number of slots configured (not utilized) on any given TeamSpeak server.
- Suppose you have 10 TeamSpeak servers each at 10 slots starting May 1st. This is a total of 100 slots. Assuming none of your servers change in slot count AND assuming they were online for all 31 days in May you will be billed for a total of 100 slots on June 1st.
- A 50 slot server that is online for only 15 out of 30 days in the previous month will be billed for 25 slots even though it's configured as a 50 slot server, because it was only ONLINE for 15 out of 30 days. Keep in mind slot count is reported to us on a DAILY basis.
- Suppose you have 10 TeamSpeak servers each at 10 slots starting May 1st. Your initial slot count is 100 slots. Now suppose 1 of your 10 servers is upgraded to 50 slots on May 15th and remains that way through the end of the month. This means that server had 10 slots for 14 days (May 1st through May 14th) and then had 50 slots for 16 days (May 15th through May 31st). The average number of slots for just that server for the month of May are calculated as follows:
(10 slots * 14 days) + (50 slots * 16 days) = 940 slots
We then divide 940 by 31 days in May which gives us an average slot count of 30 for just that server. Assuming the other 9 servers stayed at 10 slots throughout all of May, you will be billed for a total slot count as follows:
(9 servers * 10 slots) + (1 servers * 30 slots) = 120 slots
Note once again that slots are counted whether or not your customers ever use them. So, if you have a 10 slot server running for 30 days, you will be billed for 10 slots regardless of whether your customer chose to use the server.
